EXTREME CONSTRUCTIONS
The history of some civilizations has been represented by their structures; these symbolized their religious beliefs, power, grandeur and technological advance. The modern world is not different with these beliefs, but with the addition that is the need to communicate or make shorter distances. The richest countries want to demonstrate their economic power with large structures and extreme engineering in their countries, becoming major symbols of their culture.
The following are the most amazing structures in the world known for its spectacular engineering and different breaking record.
THE BURJ KHALIFA
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world with a height of 828 meters and 162 floors .This building is located in Dubai, what is a city with a great urban development thanks to oil boom. This building has capacity of 35000 people and has 57 elevators. The Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith and he is inspired by The Hymenocallis flower. The Hymenocallis is a typical flower in Dubai and the flower was given the geometric origin to The Burj Khalifa.
THE PALM ISLANDS
The palm islands are three largest artificial islands in the world, on these islands infrastructure build commercial and residential, and it is expected to become a tourist destination to Dubai. These islands are name for their shape: a date palm. They consist of three principal sections:
The tree: Where is the island's principal street and principal entrances are located.
Fronds: Simulates the foliage of the palm and on the three islands, this area will be exclusively residence.
Waxing: It surrounds the island crescent shaped and acts as a gigantic breakwater.
The islands will have large residential areas, villages, apartments, restaurants, theme parks, entertainment areas, marinas, shopping malls and luxury hotels. The names of the islands are Jumeirah, Jebel Ali and Deira.
VIADUCT OF MILLAU
The viaduct of Millau is the highest bridge in the world and one of the longest. Located in Millau, France, this bridge is taller than Eiffel tower. The structure reaches a maximum height of 343 meters above the river Tarn, and a length of 2,460 m. This construction took three years and was designed by Michel Virlogeux.
THE GREAT BRIDGE DANYANG-KUNSHAN
The great bridge danyang-kunshan is the longest bridge in the world with 164.8 km. This bridge connects the cities of Shangai and Nanging in China. 10,000 people were employed in the construction of the bridge and it was built in four years. The Chinese high-speed train through part of his way, that the bridge has eight lanes, four for each traffic direction. The bridge was opened in June 2011
KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Kansai International Airport was built on an artificial island in Osaka, Japan. This construction started in 1987 with construction of island and finished in 1994. The engineers designed considering the potential frequent earthquakes and typhoons in the region. The terminal is a building designed by Renzo Piano. This airport is the longest in the world, with a length of 1.7 km and is connected with a bridge to the bay.

This shows what many problems of communication, transporting, housing, safety, health and the others have solution but the most important thing is that the people are united to find amazing solutions.
